Nine-V has five online suites available on three separate floors - all running Final Cut Pro. Full offline and online editing, professional colour grading and transmission-ready mastering is available, inclusive of editor and technical QC check in either HD, PAL or NTSC. The in-house creative team consists of experienced editors and motion graphic designers capable of handling a full range of projects - from basic corporate videos to full broadcast HD. Our full-time staff, spacious editing rooms and wide range of VTRs means your television or corporate video projects can be seamlessly completed under one roof. 

We also provide basic digitizing and mastering (file-to-tape) services for production companies / post houses needing access to specific types of VTRs or formats. Your portable external hard drives can be brought in for this type of service.

An extensive music and sound effects library is available for use by all clients. Rates for music are quoted based on usage type or destination, but most corporate projects enjoy complimentary use of the library.

Prices are generally quoted by the hour for single projects, or as a package for long-form documentaries, feature films, or multi-episode series. 

All formats listed below are in-house, and can be used for digitizing, editing, duplication or mastering from hard disk. Transfer jobs (inclusive of HD frame-rate or NTSC-PAL conversions) are usually turned around within the same day, and we can combine multiple VTRs for simultaneous tape duplication. 

Prices are normally quoted on a half-hour block for VTR-VTR transfers, and on an hourly block for disk-VTR mastering, Frame-rate, aspect or standards (NTSC-PAL) conversions are subject to an additional charge in addition to the tape transfer fee. Discounts are available for large volume duplication jobs.  

Mass duplication of DVD media is quoted on an individual basis, as prices can vary with quantity and printing options. DVD authoring and design is charged at an hourly rate, and all discs can be produced in either PAL or NTSC.

We are able to convert between PAL and NTSC, down/up/cross convert in HD, or provide you with an aspect ratio change from all major tape and file formats.. This includes any HD or SD frame rate (23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 50 and 59.94) and frame size (480/576, 720 and 1080).

We use the latest generation of Teranex and Snell & Wilcox (motion compensated) standards converters for the highest broadcast-quality results available in the industry. 

Broadcast quality control reports are available in both "full" and "spot" check categories for both standard (SD) and high-definition (HD). A full written report is provided for all audio, video, colour and blanking levels as well as an acceptability rating.  We also provide real-time luma and chroma legalizing services for programs that require strict compliance with technical standards.

In-house Dolby E encoding and decoding services are available for clients who wish to master their broadcast programs directly to either HDCAM or HDCAM-SR.  Separate audio tracks can be delivered to us on any standard file format (e.g. WAV, AIF etc..) prior to encoding.

Professional sound booth available for recording of voice overs for commercials, films, documentaries or videos. We can provide 'cold' voicing to various file/tape formats, and voice to picture for translation or dialogue replacement. 

Nine-V provides full, multi-language subtitling services onto broadcast master tapes or DVDs. Subtitle lists can be provided in almost any standard text format including MS Word and Excel. Custom authoring onto DVDs with menu options is also available.

We can take most major file formats that need to be converted and recorded to tape for broadcast television,or film festival purposes. We also provide animation file assembly, re-editing, and  audio re-tracking services. Full FCP projects, AVI, Quicktime MOV, TGA, or almost any other file format available can be striped to tape for broadcast.  

We keep a wide variety of blank tape and disc stock on hand, including different lengths and formats for all types of video tape and disc recorders. We also provide climate controlled tape storage for international customers with on-going tape servicing requirements. 

Customers are welcome to supply their own blank media, but recycled, damaged or blank tape stock older than 3 years will not be accepted.
