1-2 hours, dine, play, shop at the airport.
2-4 hours usually try to find a place to take a shower or get a nap
4-6 hours try to leave the airport, perhaps looking for that quick getaway nearby
6-8 or even 12 hours leave the airport and go to hotels, especially when travelling with young children
