BASIC EXERCISE COURSE (AWARDED BY SINGAPORE SPORTS COUNCIL)
Program ObjectiveThe BEC is a short course designed specially to arm participants with the basic skills to supervise exercise classes for individuals and groups. Participants will be taught the fundamentals and understanding of exercise and fitness, how to demonstrate proper exercise techniques, and how to use fitness equipment. Upon successful completion of the course and examination, a Certificate will be issued.
Who Should Attend: All individuals (athletes, coaches, sports administrators, physical education trainers and enthusiasts) who have an interest in basic fitness & exercise techniques and methodologies.
Academic Progression: On successful completion of this programme, students could choose to pursue the Fitness Instructor Course (FIC).
