J-24 Training Session An initiative started two years back to encourage members, course participants and sailors to race competitively under the supervision of an experienced skipper has now grown into a popular regular Saturday practice session.
Many of the Skipper / Mentor program "graduates" have moved on to sailing on bigger racing yachts or to buy their own boat.

Experience Keelboat Sailing at RSYC The Republic of Singapore Yacht Club's (RSYC) Keelboat Orientation provides organisation an opportunity to conduct team-building activities through sailing.
This half-day orientation will commence with a safety briefing, followed by an introductory session on the boat, rope work and individual crew position and responsibilities.
Boats and Permitted Numbers of Crew Onboard The J-24 keelboat allows a maximum of five (5) participants. There are three (3) J-24s in the fleet and a minimum of four (4) crew is required per boat.
Alternative arrangements can be make to accommodate up to 10 participants onboard a larger keelboat, teenagers above the age of 14 years old accompanied by adults can also participate.
Orientation Fee The fee is $170 +5% GST per participant. The fee includes the use of RSYC facilities, course materials, boat rental, skipper fee, drinking water onboard, tea break and one meal at The Wharf.
Confirmation Please give six (6) weeks advance notice and a 50% deposit is required upon confirmation. Confirmation is subject to availability of boats and skipper.
