“OKAY, Terry, you were saying that in actual fact, we have two minds: a conscious mind as well as a subconscious mind. Generally, the conscious mind is where we think, act and react through the five senses of hearing, sight, smell, taste and touch; where we consciously evaluate and make decisions and initiate physical activities like whether to play video games or football. But, the subconscious mind seems to be more dormant, deeper beneath the conscious mind?” Daniel asked quizzically to clarify the concept of a subconscious mind.
The Conscious Mind versus the Subconscious Mind
Terry explained, “To put them in the context of your weight loss goals, the conscious mind is where you decide what to eat, where to eat and how much to eat and then after the meal, comment on how good the food tasted or how good the service was. However, your conscious mind is also where you will also entertain any doubts that may manifest themselves and cause you to stumble on your journey towards your goals and ambitions.
In contrast, the subconscious mind automatically tells your tummy when to rumble to remind you that it’s time to eat as well as control the progress and the digestion of the food through your digestive system. It also regulates and controls your other involuntary actions, such as your breathing, blood circulation and even the feeling of pain, that keep your body functioning without your being aware of it happening. If you can access the subconscious mind, you can even control these involuntary bodily functions as had been demonstrated where with the aid of hypnosis a person can undergo surgery without anaesthetics. However, the subconscious mind is much, much more powerful than just being a regulator box for the basic bodily functions.
The Power of the Subconscious Mind
In fact, the subconscious mind is where your deep intense creative thoughts are born, where you are more receptive to extrasensory perception and where you feel so invincible and powerful that you just know that you will achieve what you have set yourself to do or to be.
That is why, in order to gain Self-Mastery of yourself and of your actions towards achieving your goals and ambitions, you have to shift your focus and awareness from the conscious mind to the subconscious mind. Once you are there, you can then implant and imprint the seeds and the thoughts of success and achievements, literally your life script, into the futile ground of the subconscious mind for it to propagate these seeds and thoughts throughout your body and through your body all the way to your conscious mind. The result is a total change in your body, mind and soul that brings them into perfect alignment towards achievement of your goals and ambitions.”
“That’s great! How then do I get into my subconscious mind? I’m ready right now!” Daniel enthused.
