Using hot and cold stones to relieve stiff muscles. Includes bodywork
WHAT’S in a spa treatment? A recent phenomenon, the spa became popular only a few years ago. Now, we have spa centres, wellness centres, day spa and spa salons sprouting everywhere on the island, from downtown to the heartlands. Even the aunties are booking appointments for spa therapies instead of gossiping at the void decks.
And with competition so keen, spa centres are constantly coming up with new and invigorating treatments to relax the frenzied urbane soul in us. Some purport to heal your body while others claim to improve vitality. From Ayurverda to Mudras, we take in everything at face value and believe in all the benefits. But can we sift through all the mumbo jumbo?
We believe it’s good and beneficial to indulge oneself in a spa treatment. So instead of looking like a zombie while the therapist explains to you the treatments and the packages, stay ahead of the game and know what you are actually treating yourself to.
