WHEN Christina Low speaks, men listen. For three years now, she’s been holding sex courses on something that men over 13 years old tend to take for granted: the Big O. “Women have enormous difficulties in reaching any kind of satisfying orgasm,” explains the 30-something sex and intimacy coach who’s founded the company Tantra Path. “Ironically, men face the completely opposite problem — orgasm or, rather, ejaculation, is uncontrollable.”
The first thing you’ll learn when you attend Low’s tantric sex workshops on Male Multiple Orgasm and Male Full-Body Orgasm is that men’s bodies are designed to make love for many hours without a goal, and orgasm and ejaculation can happen or not. It is his choice. It is not a habit.
“Male ejaculation is commonly understood to be the male version of orgasm. It is not really an orgasm; men use the words orgasm and ejaculation interchangeably to describe the experience.
The semen is just the physical part, but the spiritual part of orgasm is missed. Here is where the highest potential of sex lies,” she explains.
According to Low, a Computer Science and Information Systems degree holder from the National University of Singapore and the founder of Earth Sanctuary Day Spa, she’s done over 200 sex classes on this topic to many men, women and couples. They usually last for 1.5 hours, and there is no limit on the number of participants.
“All Tantra Path workshops are open to all genders and sexual orientations, individuals and pairs, and are clothed affairs ,” she says. “ Some of the practices require self-cultivation and practice. It’s a beautiful sharing and bonding experience if couples attend together, so one can understand and support each other in this path of sacred love.”
Ever hear the joke about men rolling over and snoring after sex? Apparently, it has a scientific explanation. “The excitement is no more,” says Low. “Yes there is relaxation, but it is negative relaxation. So, why end it here? It is really a dissipation, a tremendous loss of energy which results in fatigue rather than relaxation.”
And preventing that from happening is as easy as snapping your fingers.
Or attending tantric sex classes.
The better option, she argues, is to enjoy non-ejaculatory orgasms altogether.
“There is a male full body and multiple orgasm that happen without ejaculation and release of semen, an orgasm in which the energy is retained in the body, expanding upward instead of being released outward,” she says.
But the question is: Is it worth sitting in sex class for? “Men have told me that when the frequency
of ejaculation is reduced they have more zest for life and a corresponding increase in sexual interest,” says Low.
Ancient Taoist text tends to agree. It says that a man derives good health through embracing non-ejaculatory orgasms, retaining the semen in the body, and reabsorbing the life force for longevity.
Better health through better sex? How can you say no to that.
