This March school holiday parents will have much to cheer about. The international ice show Disney On Ice presents Princess Wishes comes to town with a dazzling new show. Featuring Disney’s seven favorite princesses, audiences in Singapore can look forward to the best in family live entertainment. Affordably priced from $19.50 for starters and costing no more than $59.50 for the top end seat, this is truly a new March school holiday experience for all families in Singapore.
Disney On Ice presents Princess Wishes – Where Dreams Come True
To date, Princess Wishes has been staged across North America, Europe, Japan and China with resounding success. Beautifully told through enchanting lyrics, artistic skating and graceful acrobatics, this story of seven Disney princesses proves that wishes come true for those who believe. Audiences will be transported to a world where imaginations soar. Ariel’s dreams are unlocked from under the sea and in one magical moment she finds happiness in an exploration above the waves. Mulan finds her inner strength. Jasmine discovers a whole new world and Snow White finds her one true love. The beautiful presentation of wishes coming true also reveals Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty’s dreams filled with endless possibilities. Whisking the audiences from tale to tale and guiding them behind the wishes that motivate each of the princesses is special guest Tinker Bell who arrives on a trail of pixie dust.
“Feld Entertainment is very pleased to bring this new and exciting Disney On Ice production to Singapore. Audiences, especially the little ones, will be able to enjoy the magic of Disney through this world class theatrical experience put together by a strong international cast. Specially priced for the families this March school holiday, I believe that we offer the best in family entertainment while keeping pricing affordable,” said Eric Gravelle, Regional Marketing Director, South Asia, Feld Entertainment.
Dazzling Set and Special Effects
Audiences can look forward to a set that is specially designed by the production team to showcase the wishes and dreams of the seven Disney princesses. They will certainly be captivated by the magical waterfall – a cascading, multi-tier piece – which serves as the focal point for the production.
Another premiere set piece in the show is Cinderella’s carriage. Designed to look very much like a beautiful Tiffany or Fabergé egg, it rises up and becomes a brilliant gold, shimmering ball at the end of the show.
In addition, there are also top-notch effects like a terrifying 20 feet long, larger than life dragon that spews actual fire in the climactic "Sleeping Beauty" scene and a life-size moving ship for The Little Mermaid's "Under the Sea" number that combines bubbling special effects with talented skaters and elaborate costumes. For the former, skaters inside the dragon glide it across the ice which allows it to move and be menacing in all kinds of interesting ways.
To conclude, audiences can definitely look forward to a fast-paced show with high-energy music, glittering sets and dramatic choreography, making it a truly breathtaking experience. This will be an unforgettable production where wishes are fulfilled and dreams do come true– for both the audiences and the Disney princesses!
